"WARNING!" |
Purrfect Apawcalypse: Patches' Infurno is the third and final game in the Purrfect Apawcalypse trilogy. It is prequeled by Purrfect Apawcalypse: Purrgatory Furever.
Game Description[]
Patches is dragged to school for the first ever cat-and-dog school day! With Coco and Brownie distracted with home ec class, Olive and Angel busy with literature, and Sparky and Ginger occupied by gym, Patches has free reign over the school... Almost. All he needs to do is get this damn collar off and wreck some havoc! Will he prove cats and dogs can get along, or will he make this the Purrfect Apawcalypse?
Plot[]
Chapter 1: Weekend[]
Patches is at the Grimalkin Estate with Olive, Angel, Sparky and Brownie, where Coco and a newly-healed Ginger return from an excursion to Kemono Woods Private School. There, the Elite Magic Club agrees to heal the zombie dogs create by the events of the previous games, but only on one condition: that Coco proves that cats and dogs can get along. Coco reveals her plan to host a communal school day at Hachiko High, where cats and dogs will participate in several class-like activities together. Olive convinces everyone to allow Patches to join in, off-leash but not off-collar. Ginger also hints at how she regained her body through Mitt's occult connections.
Chapter 2: Home Ec[]
Patches and Olive walk to school where they find Coco, Mitt and Whisk. The twins immediately recognize Patches as Angel, due to him still being in possession of the cat's body. Patches then finds out he'll have to pretend to be Angel for the entire day. He continues on to his first class, Home Ec, where he's partnered with Brownie on their project of baking a bacon cake. Here he can either poison the cake with chocolate sourced from Doug, publicly embarrass Whisk, incur Coco's wrath by removing his collar too early, etc. To progress smoothly, he bakes Brownie's cake properly and has it graded by Coco, after which he can move on to the next activity.
Chapter 3: Literature[]
Patches enters the library only to bump into Olive. They're eager for Luna, the president of Hachiko High School's Literature Club, to introduce each member of the club. Luna, believing Angel is actually Vice President Patches on account of him still being in his body, has him introduce the next activity: reading! Olive helps an anxious cat Felix get situated in a quiet part of the library, leaving Patches to his own devices. Here he can either stalk and kill Angel, creep out Holly and Luna, etc. To progress smoothly, he finds out there's a collection of cat-related literature hidden somewhere. He then gives Holly a copy of Shi-Tzu's Art of War so she'll reveal the collection's location. He then finds a cryptic grimoire written in Catscratch and has Felix translate it for him. Finally, he reads the tome with Olive, after which he can move on to the next activity.
Chapter 4: Lunchtime[]
After reading the Claret Family Grimoire, Patches discovers two spells. One is for starting an apocalypse, for which he'll need a crystal ball, bone and magic wand. The second is for swapping souls between bodies, for which he'll need the fur of a Claret family member. Patches enters the cafeteria where Olive gives him a coin to buy something with. He buys a can of generic dog food from the vending machine, only to find a rotting skull in the vending machine's compartment, likely a remnant from the first game. He trades the generic can of dog food for Felix's wand along with a can of Yum Yum Puppy Food. Lastly, he distracts Ginger in an attempt to take some of her hair, but only manages to distract Mitt and Whisk with the fact that the three may be related. He sneaks their crystal ball out of their bag and returns to Olive to finish lunch, after which he can move on to the next activity.
Chapter 5: Gym[]
Patches enters the outdoor field where he finds Sparky and Tigger arguing over who should be team captain. Ginger, exhausted from having to hold all the zombie dogs together with her magic, excuses herself to focus somewhere else. With her out of the way, Tigger assumes position as captain of the away team. Sparky encourages Patches to make friends before starting the game. Here he can steal Tigger's lunch, barter with Rover for baseball advice, sabotage the ball incurring Sparky's fury, etc. In order to progress the game, Patches must chat with Rover and Tigger before starting the game with Sparky, after which it'll progress without incident. He can then leave to get Ginger's hair, the last piece of magical material he needs.
Chapter 6: End of Day[]
Patches finds a knife for cutting Ginger's fur in his locker, along with photos and letters sent between him and Angel. He finds Ginger meditating in the gymnasium. Here he can kill her or be killed, but to progress he must let her meditate. He then cuts a lock of her hair off and continues to the field where an assembly is being held. Mitt prepares to keep their end of the deal with Coco but before they can, Patches summons Bapawmet! He then steals his body back from Angel (if he hasn't already) and prepares to tell Bapawmet his wish. Here, he can have them kill everyone or heal everyone. Canonically, He has them heal everyone after which (if he hadn't killed anyone during the course of the game), he and Olive can chat with them all in the field before walking home together.
